An Aphorism On The Ego

I'm at odds with the popular opinion that narcissism is completely awful. in situations which where you are unable to rely on others for your own protection, a retreat into the self is welcome. I also think things such as solipsism, aren't always an individualistic phenomenon. in institutions like cults, its often the rule. hiveminds should be encouraged when your outsiders are hostile towards you, or as in extreme circumstances, one should should be inwardly focused if people are gaslighting you or leading you astray. You as a person, alone, are responsible for yourself, in fact, its oftentimes between you and the Lord, in transcendent manner, you can seek salvation in a hostile environment. Be not who cares deeply about the affections of others, and if you find people (or in some cases, animal friends) who share your struggles, internalize your core. Solidarity between in groups and out-groups may foster antagonism, but it also fuels survival, the tighter the core of your peers, you can come to a deeper realization of each other and your separate functions. If in some cases, you can only rely on yourself, internalizing your ego and denying the outer world may be your only survival tool against a world (and people) that may do you wrong. But I'm as sure as the sun that kindred spirits exist among your own self. I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm a Stirnerite, since I believe in the transcendent, spiritual realm that Max denied, but a combination of self-preservation and spiritual reflection might be a way to handle the chaos and confusion of the outside world.  As stated in my magnum opus, Neo-Radicalism, I advocated an expanding hivemind of unique individuals with shared purposes to overthrow 'Leviathan', and push the rule of a "new empire" into the mental and cultural consciousness of all living creatures. but it starts with you, and being a little self-centered isn't just "not" bad, sometimes its essential to life. We seek our own among the different trees of the forest. be the one that sticks out. Lebe dein Leben trotz anderer!
